figures. The average price of UK home buildings and contents cover is £368 per
household. The average cost of fully comprehensive car insurance is £629.
However if you refuse to simply take up your renewal quote from your existing
insurance company and are prepared to shop around for comprehensive car
insurance cover, then you can bring the quote down to £415. Likewise, with
building & contents home insurance, you can bring the quote down to £227.

petrol are predicted to soon overtake the value of your car. uSwitch.com
say that next year, the cost of running your car will amount to
£3,800 with the average value of a car currently being
approximately £4,225. It is thought that in 2009 the price of petrol will
double from its current level to about £2.30 per litre. Given that motorists
have seen a rise of a third since 2007, this means that if the predictions are
correct, that petrol will have risen by over 150%.
